• Artist Statement

“My studio practice is centered on an inquiry into the production of painting and space. My projects are series of paintings, objects and installations. The limitations of materials and context are in turn generative, resulting in investigations into the medium of painting, the experience and perception of color space and other related problems. Tying my work to the reasons of production, process and to my own labor as an artist I act in the tension between formal qualities and larger systems how they inhabit human spaces.” Henning Haupt, 2019
